font size changes after sending an email
When I send an email using the font Arial MEDIUM, the receiver sees Arial HUGE: The font looks like MEDIUM before I send it, but when the receiver replies, the font of my original text appears HUGE.
The problem is intermittent. I have tried to reproduce the problem by sending to my own, other email addresses but have not been able to. Possibly I'm using the wrong login page? Thanks, Jody |

Hi, Jody
Welcome to the forums. ![]() I'm afraid those who can help you are going to need more information, like: Are you using a webmail client (Gmail, Fastmail, etc.) or an offline client (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.) ? When you say it looks like medium, is there a font size displayed (Arial 12 or something like that) ? Or is it "medium" ? Or does it just say "larger" or "smaller" in the font size selection of your compose screen ? It sounds like you might be using Gmail. If so, it may be the receiver's screen resolution or browser settings that are making the font size seem larger. Others here will be able to help if you can clarify things a bit. ![]() |

Send yourself (different email account) email from the problem account using different browsers, and clients. Surely you'll find the culprit this way.
I had this same problem before - the problem was an off-brand browser I was using. I think it was removing all my carriage returns (Enters) and everything was all crammed together on the receiver's end. Once I stopped using that browser the problem went away, but I made sure the folks knew the problem. As far as I know, they never fixed it. |

I've had that problem before. For me, it's had to do with specific ways that the HTML is formatted (i.e., where the font-size tags are placed within the code) and will only show up in certain email programs. Depending on the formatting, the email can show up perfectly fine in Outlook, but wrong in Mac Mail (or vice versa). B4its2L8 is correct, though... more info would be good. How are you creating the email and in what email programs or sites (Outlook, Gmail, Hotmail, Mac Mail, etc.) does it look wrong.
