Have you been "Madly in love"?
I found this site on BBC Scince.
They write about such things as The Science of Love The three stages of love The science of flirting What makes you fancy someone? Does love drive you mad? Sensual signals http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/hottopics/love/ Hot stuff huh? I was mot impressed with these: Stage 3: ATTACHMENT This is what takes over after the attraction stage, if a relationship is going to last. People couldn't possibly stay in the attraction stage forever, otherwise they'd never get any work done! Attachment is a longer lasting commitment and is the bond that keeps couples together when they go on to have children. Important in this stage are two hormones released by the nervous system, which are thought to play a role in social attachments: # Oxytocin - This is released by the hypothalamus gland during child birth and also helps the breast express milk. It helps cement the strong bond between mother and child. It is also released by both sexes during orgasm and it is thought that it promotes bonding when adults are intimate. The theory goes that the more sex a couple has, the deeper their bond becomes # Vasopressin - Another important chemical in the long-term commitment stage. It is an important controller of the kidney and its role in long-term relationships ... end of quotes. If you get tired of reading all spam about how to get xxx then read BBC about everlasting Love! ![]() Trew |

Love is beautiful and its so sad when you cant be with the one you love........
But if you can stay waiting and not go crazy,it shows how much you care for them..... Last edited by Bamb0 : 25 May 2026 at 04:06 AM. |

Haven't we all (or almost all) been madly in love at some point?
I had several huge crushes. Some resulted in friendships that last until this day, or that lasted for several years. I will add though, I'm not actively searching anymore. I am a happy single. So I'm open to meet that special woman, but I'm not actively searching for her anymore. If I meet her: great! If I don't, then great too. Love is a beautiful thing, but I also think being single is underrated. By that I mean: some make it look like a punishment to be single, but that's absolutely not how I experience it. It has its disadvantages and it has its advantages. |
