I expect anyone who has - Laid - down in the Sahara will have ended-up with sand in uncomfortable places.

As a child I SLID down sand dunes in various places on our coastal planes (well... sometimes also as an adult). It's all sand from the Sahara, brought here by the western wind and currents in the Mediterranean sea.
