Heres how this game works - 1 poster posts a scenario with two choices and the next poster has to select the option that they would prefer.... That poster then posts a new scenario for the following poster and so on ...

Ill start

Taco Bell. I would put Wendy's in second place. I do not like Ponderosa steaks.

Travel by train from coast to coast or travel by car from coast to coast in the United States. I've done both.

What is the context? Do you mean logs as in logarithms, vv 'counting rods'? Somehow, I doubt it - not least because they're not interchangable. It can't be for fuel (rods don't burn). You can't make planks (or fake wood eg chipboard) from rods...

I could choose: rods - one's less likely to get a splinter from anything made of metal ... though metal filings are quite likely to penetrate skin, unlike sawdust.

Also, for me, "metal rods" conjures up an image of pieces of metal of small diameter - large diameter bits of metal, eg propeller shafts on ships, aren't referred to as "rods".

On the other hand a rod is likely to have a constant cross-section... which logs don't have.

I think the choice depends on intended use.

Perhaps the choice is between Lincoln Logs and the metal rods in Meccano.
In this case I would prefer Meccano, but mainly because I never had Lincoln Logs and haven't heard of them until my son was in nursery school in the United States, and on the other hand as a child I had an Erector set (American Meccano compatible version) with an electric motor, and my father also had a real Meccano steam engine from the Meccano set he had as a child.
Talking about construction sets, my favorite as a young child was Tinkertoy, and later it was Lego.

Apples or Oranges?

Oranges.

Also prefer orange juice to apple juice. Love the taste.

FC Barcelona or Real Madrid?

The picture of a sawmill (on the Lincoln Logs page) reminds me that in the 1970s I made a model lathe from Lego. This was long before Lego got sophisticated, but I had been given an add-on kit which contained an electric motor, cogs, axles etc. I think I managed to fashion a 2- or 3-speed gearbox. Rather than trying to machine wood or metal(!) I arranged a candle (already conveniently several inches long & round in cross-section) between the driven end of the mechanism & the other end. For tools I think I used anything pointed... It was /just/ possible very lightly to machine rings onto the candle, but if one pressed the tool too hard against the candle the candle would stop rotating & then torque would explode the gear train into a heap of parts.

I also had a tiny amount of Meccano but it was bought for me when I was too young for it, I think.

Taco Bell, because I need a good colon cleanse right now.

Would you rather an upset stomach or a sore throat?

Upset stomach (It means I enjoyed something I ate yesterday. A soar throat, on the other hand, implies nothing enjoyable).
