I stay logged-in all the time normally & leave this place open in one browser tab so I can check it easily. But also, once logged-in, I have the main page scrolled down somewhat so I can just see all the subforum summary lines at once. If a new ad were then to appear I might not see it. |

I have uBlock Origin installed and enabled, so I don't see the ad at all, when either logged in or not. If I disable uBlock Origin for this site, I see the ad when not logged in. When I am logged in, the ad is not shown. I surprised that neither of you use ad blockers - still, to each his own. |

I think what puts me off (& likewise for script-blockers) is the constant problem of one accidentally preventing some site from working properly ... thus causing more work for oneself in identifying where the problem lies. Every so often I wonder about installing one of the tools that lets one fiddle with sites' CSS - but I feel that if I did I'd probably want to run it under a different browser profile from my normal-uses one. |

I've just used it to block the 'Upgrade' nag button from appearing in Proton Mail and Calendar, so it does more than just block ads. |

When Justin changed things on DSLReports a few years ago and made it look aweful,I was able to extract the original CSS I had been using and it was absolurely beautiful compared to what he changed the colours to!! When Gareth changed the beautiful green CSS Sean had on davidicke.com,I went and extracted the green one I had been using since regging there and that was also nice! |
