One could also ask: do we really need so many email services (masked or otherwise)?

It's sort of a game: Companies want to capitalize on their list of customers, by sharing data with advertisers. People don't want to get spam. So people want specialized addresses (masked) so as to not share their main addresses with companies that sell their data to spammers, and companies want customers to share their main address to make the data they sell be worth more to whoever buys it. When all specialized addresses are limited to a few domains, companies can easily block registration with email addresses in these domains. When these domains are also used for people's main addresses it's more difficult to block the domains for registration. When a domain is used heavily for masked email it is easy to recognize and block it for use in registration forms. When many domains are used, it is more difficult to classify most of them as domains serving only or mostly masked addresses.
So if we want to use a masked address service, it should work better if it serves less users, or if most of its outgoing traffic is not masked email.

IMHO duck's email free tier beats them all.

What is suspicious is that you need to install an app for this email from AdGuard. I would never do that.

Browser addons are possible but apps are not

Adguard mask.me has a web version
which does not require a app installation.

Thanks.

Is it so hard to learn from other providers? It was created afterwards, although it still lacks essential features like addons and API. When you create an alias, you must log in using a password or code received via email.

AdGuard mask.me is a terrible service

I give up. The web version requires at least 7 clicks to access the login screen. It sucks.
