I have a Samsung Android mainly because I have used a lot of Google stuff, including Gmail, and I like the integration with it. I also prefer a less locked down system that allows me to customize more. But, most of my family and friends are iPhone, meaning I still get left out when they send videos that I can barely make out. Google's RCS messaging is making that better, but still a ways to go. I also like the fact that iPhones get supported a long time, and hold much higher resale value. Plus, a lot of photographers use iPhones. Yes, the best Androids also have good cameras, but I have not been a fan of what Samsung's processing does to images. Google Pixels are much better, and my family gets great shots from their iPhones. I shoot mostly nature stuff, and sometimes my phone just will not capture the scene no matter what I do.
