As you may have heard, the Fitbit app is becoming the Google Health app. Starting on May 19, you will need to move to a Google Account to continue using the app. Without the app connection, some features of your Fitbit or Pixel Watch will stop working.

Until May 19, you can move to a Google Account by opening the Fitbit app and looking for the option to move Fitbit to your Google Account in app settings.

Unfortunately my Samsung S7 is too old to migrate. I can't update the app to get the "move" option.

I should upgrade to a new phone, but among other things I really like the Memo app on my phone. Simple and functional. Unfortunately, Samsung discontinued the app.

It will be interesting to see if the old app will still gather information from my watch, or if my watch will be stand-alone.

My reasons for getting Fitbit was to check my sleep and my pulse.
