Swissmail.org - What do you think about it?
After getting fed up with Proton Mail, mostly because of its flaky Bridge and the mobile client lock-in, I've been looking for a replacement and came across this thread: [Yet Another Email Service Comparison].
One option I found is Swissmail. It's Switzerland-based, no E2E encryption on emails, which means it supports standard IMAP out of the box. It also offers the pretty concise @email.org domain. For those of us who just want to use our own mail client without jumping through hoops, that's actually a feature, not a flaw. Swiss jurisdiction still offers decent legal privacy protections even without E2E, I guess. It seems to be around for quite a while, although not much discussed. (Here is the only thread I found about it - from 2008! [Swissmail]) Has anyone here used it long-term? |
It's swissmail.org actually.
The basic offer is not free, not expensive either ($2.20/month with a 3-years' contract) |
